Maintaining a safe and healthy learning environment is a priority at the University of Kansas. Consequently, a response plan has been prepared in the case of a pandemic to save and protect lives and property and to ensure institutional continuity and recovery.
It is difficult to predict when the next influenza pandemic will occur or how severe it will be. Wherever and whenever a pandemic starts, everyone around the world will be at risk.

The University of Kansas, in response to global and local concerns about pandemic influenza, has created a Pandemic Response Plan.
As the University strives to be prepared to respond to a pandemic, individuals and families must be prepared, as well.
In the event of a pandemic that impacts KU, this site will be used to provide timely and current information regarding the university response.
